I recently finished up a new piece titled "Greek Columns". Greek Columns is an 11"x14" gel transfer over a stencil/spraypaint colored background. Each of the 10 pieces in the edition are on 1" wood and come ready to hang. Greek Columns #1/10 (shown below) will be on display at the Greek Art show in Berkeley, CA from August 7 - 30. Edition numbers 2-10 will be custom (you choose the background colors). Each piece comes signed, numbered and with a hand made Certificate of Authenticity. Ready to hang with one nail/screw. Earth Day Tree 2010 - GOLD & SILVER FOIL PAPER VARIANTS
Today I shipped out all the Earth Day Tree 2010 print. If you ordered one, it should get to US addresses by Thursday or Friday at the latest. And if you missed out on the regular edition that sold out in just a few minutes then you might be in luck. I created 2 special variants of the Earth Day Tree prints on Gold and Silver Foil paper that measure 30"x11". The Gold Foil version of the print will be available in an edition of 9 unique prints (prints #1-6 are shown here and prints #7-9 will be custom). The rarer Silver Foil version of the print will come in an edition of 6 unique prints (prints #1-3 are shown here and prints #4-6 will be custom). I am pleased to introduce my latest 1 stencil print "Earth Day Tree 2010". Prints measure 30"x11" and were created in a unique signed and numbered edition of 30. Prints #1-20 are completed and shown at the link below and prints #21-30 will be custom (you choose the colors and style). I used a huge array of colors, metallics, iridescents, and glow sprays to make each of the completed prints unique. Earth Day Tree prints will be available on Friday April 16th at 10AM Mountain Time USA for $50 (includes shipping). Fantastic Hullabaloo Art Show & New Show Prints
I will be releasing 2 new prints at The Fantastic Hullabaloo Art show on April 29-30 in New Orleans, LA. The new prints are both 11"x14" and were created using 5-7 hand cut stencils, spraypaint and wood stain. I will also have a large representation of my art on display and for sale at the show.

New Print - "Falling Cans"
I recently finished up a run of 6 unique prints called Falling Cans. Each print is 22" x 30" and sprayed on Stonehendge paper. I also created one original Falling Cans on 18" x 24" stretched canvas. I am working hard on a follow up to my Colorado Pride print of 2008. The 30" x 22" full bleed 12 stencil print is sprayed on Stonehenge paper and will be available in a limited edition of 20 prints. New Original - "572 Caps"

What's New? I just finished up the Bisco Power Mission Prints!
What have I been up to the last 2 weeks? Spraying Prints. With an edition of 175 this is by far my largest print run. I hand cut 2 sets of stencils for this print. Each print was hand sprayed using 6 layers. First, the black paper was sprayed black to provide a base coat. Next, I sprayed a light chrome outline layer, then sprayed the tan gears stencil layer, then sprayed the green shapes/text stencil layer, and finally sprayed the black logos stencil layer. To finish each print I sprayed them with an ironlak clearcoat layer. 6 layers on each print x 175 prints = 1050 passes to complete the run. Like most of my print runs there is some slight color variations in each print. I used 3 shades of yellow, 2 shades of tan and 3 shades of green to make each print unique. All prints were sprayed with Ironlak brand paint which uses environmentally friendly propellants. Prints come signed, numbered and embossed with the IansPrints.com logo.

I recently finished 2 new pieces for the 2010 PBR Art Show hosted by Illiterate Magazine that opening last weekend in Denver, Colorado. Thanks to everyone that helped support my art in 2009. I am looking forward the upcoming year and have lots of new art planned. 2009 was a great year. I released 27 prints, 11 original pieces of art, and showed in 17 art shows around the world. 2010 will be even better.

First Art Piece of 2010 - "Crunk Ain't Dead"
My first piece of 2010 is titled, "Crunk Ain't Dead". Crunk Ain't Dead is 18"x18" on 3/4" wood (ready-to-hang) with each piece in the series being unique. Crunk Ain't Dead was created using stencils, spraypaint, collage, gel medium and acrylic paint. I have 4 pieces completed and hope to make a few more in the near future. WATERWHEEL FOUNDATION SCULPTURE AT FESTIVAL 8
Jon Lamb, Michael Ortiz and myself created the 16 foot 3-D sculpture of the Waterwheel Foundation logo shown in the picture below. The sculpture was displayed on the main concert grounds of Phish's Festival 8 in Indio, CA from Oct 30 - Nov 1.

Halloween Indio Prints
I recently created this piece to commemorate Festival 8 taking place in Indio, California this Halloween. The 22"x30" stencil/spraypaint print will be hand sprayed on site at the Festival. The print is a custom edition of 18 prints where you get to choose the colors and if you would like text on the print or not. Prints are $40 at the festival or $50 if you would like them shipped after the festival. Prints are now available here.

I am excited to be working with 2 of my favorite artists Jon Lamb and Michael Ortiz on a special Halloween themed art installation for Festival 8. Our 16 ft solar powered sculpture will be on display in the main concert grounds of the festival. A huge thanks to Phish and The Waterwheel Foundation for this unique opportunity.

NEW PRINT - ABCMYKG
I am pleased to introduce my latest stencil and spraypaint print titled, "ABCMYKG". The print was designed for an upcoming art show where the theme is CMYK vs RGB. I choose the CMYK color palette (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) for my prints theme. The design is a nebula of flying musical notes that converge into a swirl in the middle of the print. "ABCMYKG" is 16"x20" and splattered/stenciled on White Strathmore Bristol paper. I created an edition of 10 prints with white backgrounds and an edition of 10 prints with black backgrounds. I also created 3 one of a kind prints with cyan, magenta and yellow backgrounds. I will be offering some of the ABCMYKG prints Thursday August 20 at 10am Mountain Time USA at IansPrints.com/available-art.php.
